Together with its science-based faculties, the University also has a Faculty of Economics and Management which can provide valuable know-how in new product commercialisation, financing business development and embedding sound business management practices in newly formed businesses. Management at the Centre also benefits from advice and assistance in sound management practice.
The Tech Startup Centre at Ganja State University was established to provide real and sustainable assistance to young Tech Startup entrepreneurs in the Ganja-Dashkasan region. It is primarily for the use of under-graduates and graduates from the University but is also open to applications from the wider community across the region for assistance in developing new and innovative products and services.
The University sees itself as being well placed to assist young and well educated graduates, especially in the sciences and in ICT, to develop new and innovative products and services and to commercialise these on regional, national and international markets. This, in the first instance, benefits students from the university. And in a wider context, students who establish new companies based on innovation contribute to providing additional high quality, sustainable employment in the city of Ganja and in the region.
